Letter to Parents

Dear Franklin County Schools’ Parents and Students:

Schools are scheduled to reopen Monday, April 6, 2020, in a non-traditional manner. Students will be provided lessons/materials to continue their education and complete the 2019-2020 school year from home. These materials can be accessed virtually or by paper/pencil packets. Refer to your school’s district website or Facebook page for all the details you will need for a successful completion of this school year. All seniors will be contacted by their respective school to discuss anything related to graduation requirements.

Please know that we miss seeing your children and will provide help to them in any way possible. The Franklin County School District is not asking parents/guardians to teach new academic standards. By implementing this ALSDE approved academic continuity plan, we want to reinforce the students’ knowledge that has been gained during this school year. If at any time parents/guardians have questions or need support regarding their child’s/children’s school assignments, they are urged to contact their child’s/children’s teacher(s).
