Substitutes
NEW SUBSTITUTE PROCESS
Applicants will have to turn in the following to the Franklin County Board of Education, you must be 21 to apply.
- Franklin County Schools Support Application
- 3 Required Trainings
- Copy of Alabama Driver’s License
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Completed Tax Forms (I9, W4, A4)
- High School Transcripts
- Voided Check and Signed Bank Authorization Form
- CREATE AN AIM ACCOUNT https://aim.alsde.edu/index.aspx?Logout=true and complete background check

After the above documents are submitted to the Franklin County Board of Education and your background check has been completed you will receive an email as how to complete the application online.
After everything is completed you will be able to log in and check your application status in your AIM account, please make sure to keep your log in information. Keep in mind that it can take up to 6 weeks for your substitute license to be issued, once it is, you will receive an email about your next step in the process.
