Mr. Moss is a 1989 graduate of Phil Campbell High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University in 1994. At Auburn, Mr. Moss was a walk-on kicker on the Auburn Tiger football team. He was also an intern at the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. for the late Senator Howell Heflin. Mr. Moss got his first teaching job in the Walker County school system teaching Marketing and Business Education. He got out of education and worked in private business before returning to education at Phil Campbell HS. Mr. Moss came to Tharptown in 2009 as a History, Government and Economics teacher. In 2019, Mr. Moss was hired as Assistant Principal at Tharptown and was elevated to Principal in 2020.
Mr. Moss loves to read and travel. He is married to Amy Moss who runs ISS at Phil Campbell HS. He has two children: Hayden, who graduated from Tharptown in 2021, and Ragan, who is a student at Phil Campbell.
