Tyler Berryman Principal

  • Tyler Berryman is beginning his 21st year in Education. He has been married to Megean Berryman for 25 years and they have three sons: Slade 21, Cannon 19, and Rush 13. Megean is the principal at Belgreen High School. 

    He has taught at East Lawrence Middle School, Speake School, Lawrence County High School, and Hatton High School. He was the assistant principal at the Judy Jester Center in Lawrence County for two and a half years. Next, he served as the assistant principal at Tharptown Elementary School in Franklin County. He is currently the principal at Tharptown High School. Prior to moving to the Judy Jester Center, he taught at Hatton High School for 13 years. He has an Associate's Degree from Wallace State College, a B.S. Degree from Athens State University, a Science Endorsement from Western Governor's University, and a Master's Degree and Ed.S in Instructional Leadership from Samford University.  He is currently a doctoral candidate enrolled in Samford's Ed. D program for Educational Leadership.

    He played football, baseball, basketball and Golf at Hatton High School and College Football at Bethel College. He has 25 years of experience coaching, including head football, head baseball, track, golf, and basketball.
