Erin's Law - Child Sexual Abuse Prevention
On June 11, 2015, Governor Robert Bently signed the enactment of Erin's Law. This act required all k-12 public schools in Alabama to establish a child sexual abuse prevention instructional program for students in grades Pre-K - 12 that includes at least four developmental appropriate lessons building on skills learned in the previous years. The law also requires that all school personnel receive training on child sexual abuse on an annual basis. All Franklin County Schools personnel receives such training.
